DATELINE -- MARCH 1st ...

On March 1, 2016, Lillian Mulero organized a demonstration starting at the Plaza de Armas, then marching through Old San Juan to the Capital building overlooking the sea.

March 1, 2017 -- artist Lillian Mulero returned to the San Juan, PR Capital building dressed in her 1995 replica of the suit worn by Lolita Lebron during Lebron's action at the U.S. Capital building in Washington D.C., March 1, 1954.

"I have returned to the Capital to demonstrate that even today those events of 1954 hold a deep resonance with the contemporary story of Puerto Rico and its relationship to the USA," says Mulero.
